The Slaves of Atticus Lucius Tiburcus

He landed with a highly satisfactory ‘splosh’ in the ditch which he’d previously considered fit for me to drink.

Love it!!!! Best piece of Roman art ever. That facial expression is priceless!❤️

If you should see us, give a cheery wave to the Slaves of Atticus Lucius Tiburcus and me, and bid us grüß Gott !

“And the hills are alive with …”

Drone held camera circles overhead, lense widens for dramatic circling panorama shot.

No one trips and falls.

“Cut! Brilliant! That’s a wrap!” I shout from atop the Director’s boom seat. “Now how the heck do I get this contraption to lower me down to the ground? Maybe it’s this button here?”

It started with loincloths, it ended with Dirndl and Lederhosen!:xmas:
In between, a great, magic, superbly illustrated crux story with fine plot twists. Well done, very good writing, @Wragg ! Thanks!:clapping:
For reading again, at the fireplace, with a good cup of Jägermeister!:xmas2:

VERY GRATIFIED TO GET A CAMEO HERE IN WHICH I'M NOT THE VILLAIN. BUT IT SEEMS I WAS RIGHT TO DISLIKE ROBERTUS. I'LL BE HAVING SOME WORDS WITH HIM.

That was an excellent story, Wragg. You have a deft touch on drama, tragedy, and plot twists, and a very satisfying ending.

I heard he'd just copied out an MMMDLIX word legal document when the ink pot mysteriously upended itself over it...

And the carved in marble version even mysteriously dropped and broke into thousand peaces!?
Not only that, but his mate the centurion came in in a rage and got mud all over that nice new rug in his office.

To think he could have left the Romans behind and come in for a nice cake or two.

It would have saved everyone a whole heap of trouble.

I get the distinct impression that he is unaware of your intentions...

“Welcome… to…. Hell, Aulus,” Diana panted.
Crucified people always say this - it's become a kind of crux meme.

I was rather looking forward to an endless cycle of crucifixions and rescues, when this highly original happy ending took us all by surprise.
Well done, Wragg - having assured us that you would never again attempt an illustrated crux tale, you have delivered another masterpiece!
And I shall spend the next few days analysing your prompts for Dilla and Diana. ;)
