The post above is an overview of the Voluntary Sexual Slavery Act. Let's look at one of the aspects in a bit more detail..
Selling It
Once it was apparent how much money someone could make by selling themselves, multiple sales venues were used. Some types of slaves sold better in some venues and other types in others. High quality slaves sold in exclusive auctions.
Others were not so lucky. Here's an auction at a local bar:
The idea here is, if the buyers are drunk enough, they might buy anything.
The "disco" venue did not last much longer then it's namesake.
Initially, there were a lot more buyers than slaves. Once the market became more balanced, prospective slaves and their agents became more creative. I'm guessing the young lady in the middle was inspired by our @Barbaria1 but I could be wrong.
Turns out the young girl in the first picture above had a good idea. Of course, all good ideas spawn imitations:
With attempts at improvement:
Some prospective slaves would "test" the market on-line first before committing, sometimes on their own, sometimes using an agency.
If there was enough interest, they then could register with VoSSA and begin the legal process of losing their freedom.
Novelties were often popular:
