Waiting for Judicial Corporal Punishment

The agonising wait in the dark basement of the arena. She hears the rumours of the crowd and the cries of those whose executioners have already come for them.
Her turn will come shortly and she will be tortured in front of this jubilant crowd, drunk with sex and blood

A very traditional form of corporal punishment, which was often used in my country until the first half of the 19th century - women were almost always flogged completely naked, often in public, in specially equipped places, usually near a pub or a church. The punishment was usually carried out in one of two positions - lying on a bench like this, or tied to a post. Women are usually flogged with rods on the bottom, less often - on the back. Flogging used to be combined with the "post of shame" when the punished person was tied naked to a post before or after flogging for public viewing.

After her brutal flogging with Beulah`s strop, Barbara`s performance of both her conjugal duties and her domestic chores reached a more satisfactory level, but underneath, her rebellious nature was showing signs of bursting out. So...in the "Tied Up" thread and the "Waiting for Judicial Corporal Punishment" thread, we seem to have introduced another member - or more members - of the Arkansas Tree family.

It seems Bubba Tree is Billy Bob Tree's twin and their mother is Beulah Tree. With Joan and Silas and the exiled T.H. Tree in St. Louis, MO, we are working on a forest of Trees.

A question remains: Are Bull and Gunner in the Tree family? I haven't seen a reference to their ancestors or other relatives. Does Arkansas keep track of such things? :rolleyes:
