If torture is the idea (or "I'll do anything to stop this" fear) then remove the tape, insert a ring gag. Spiders crawling over me would tickle but not be fearful. Spiders in my mouth, I'd be a jibbering wreck.

on the whole, my experience of being teased and tortured with spiders by mischievous lads
has been disappointing, I get scared if I'm suddenly shown one close up,
but once I focus the fear soon vanishes, and the wee creatures are obviously more frightened of me -
but the ones we get in the Forest are mostly 'wee, sleekit, cowerin, timorous beasties',
the sort of monsters T-C and Phlebas get in their parts of the world
it would be seriously scary to have one of them popped into my knickers!
