Now, this was something new to me
She’d seen the cross’s cruelty!
Could she – who’d seen those awful sights
Lay on her cross without a fight?
She brushed aside her raven hair
She then resumed just laying there;
I gaped at her, then heard her say
“Well come on, man! Don’t take all day!”
I stood astride her body, slim
She looked to me unlike a queen
Laying there, defenceless, nude
Her bloodied back on rough hewn wood.
Well, if my boss had said to me
That we’d be nailing royalty
I would have taken greater care
She’d not get splinters, laying there.
Pp then broke my reverie
The bastard cracked his whip at me!
But, though he may have been in jest
I set about my task with zest!
I said to her, “I’m sorry, Queen!”
I hit that nail then, hard and clean;
She arched her back, and roared with pain
But I just hit the nail again.
She wasn’t quite so helpful now
The soldiers fought to hold her down;
I hammered home that vicious spike
Then got a new sharp nail to strike!
I must have hit an artery –
Her royal blood sprayed over me!
I watched her fight, I heard her sob
But carried on my bloody job.
Siss was screaming “let her go!”
Pp’s whip cracked, “I don’t think so!”
Roxie, on her cross, distraught
In agony she vainly fought.
Barb’s wrists were now with steel impaled
T’was time to get those slim feet nailed.
She raised her head to watch us work
And pulled her foot back with a jerk!
She tried to kick me, but, you see
We caught her leg quite easily
And so her final fight was lost –
I nailed her feet onto that cross.
Each hammer blow, as I could see
Was causing utter agony.
The blood flowed from her feet in spurts,
“Oh God!” she yelled, “it fucking hurts!”
I understood. It seemed to me
This change in her vocabulary
Was well and truly justified
As she was being crucified.
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
