I Will Be Dropping Off For A While .................

Welcome back, Wolf.
A lightning strike cut off my broadband connection yesterday, and the problem may not be a quick one to fix. I’ve managed to get in using my phone, but it’s not very reliable and it is very fiddly. So I may be rarely seen for a wee while. Keep enjoying yourselves
Based on my own experience earlier this year; in which my router and computer both got fried by lightning; Eul may not be back for a while, unless UK providers are better at fixinf problems than they are in the US. Does anyone know if Frontier is in Scotland? She will be proud to know that we spent our time without her talking about Cricket - A sport no one really understands, they just pretend to so they can make fun of others.:D

As far as I understand the game, it requires at least thirteen players, consisting of three grabbers, three taggers, five twig-runners, one center tagger, and the player at bat. The center tagger lights a pinecone on fire and throws it to the player at bat. The player hits the pinecone and runs to knock a cedar stick off the cross rods. Then the twig-runners dash back and forth until the pine cone burns out and the umpire calls "Hotbox." Finally, the score down are added up, then divided by nine.

Oh, we do, but it's still not the same without you, Eul. Hope normal service is restored soon. I mean no broadband is worse than a whipping with a barbed noodle. It's like death.

We ought to issue a glossary to new members!
No. No, I don't think so. I mean, there should be some sort of learning curve for newbies and such. It's that sense of anxiety and dread that makes this place so special when you first show up.

I’ve been reading so much in a backward fashion to get up to date that I almost went back in time myself.
Decidedly so, the girl must return.

Ugh, yeah a barbed noodle sounds horrible, actual genuine torture. I was reading of an actual leather twelve strand scourge the other day that would be a helluva lot more fun and I would not care about no broadband anymore either!

I originally came for the anxiety but stayed for the dread!

Having been here about 9 months there certainly is a learning curve that takes a while to get and I still learn new things about people here and all of our desires and fantasies.

Just a little while longer and you will truly see how this really is an asylum, and the inmates really do run the place.

That and an unsupervised Barbaria1 is quite dangerous. :D

:cheer:Eul's back online! :cheer:

It was just my router that got cooked. I was relatively lucky, the strike was very close, and almost everyone round about has had similar or worse damage to IT and/or phone equipment. And the guy who looks after my IT, and my service provider, have been very efficient. Obviously they understand that keeping Eulalia on CruxForums is a very high priority! :D

Any supervision of Barb, by definition, needs to be strict and involve the cane.
Which obviously works. The site hasn't crashed. 'nuff said! :p
