This is the Danish horror movie "The Ringmaster" (2018), also released as "Finale". I haven't been able to find the entire movie online but there is a review with a plot summary here -- basically a torture porn movie where two gas station attendants (played by Anne Bergfeld and Karin Michelsen) are forced to torture each other for the entertainment of a livestream audience. There's an edit of a scene here where Anne is tied to a chair and gagged, and Karin is forced to use a stapler on various body parts (having had a staple put into her own cheekbone for demonstration first), then attach Anne's name tag through her nipple. At least in this scene, the torture is more humiliation than pain, but nicely shot -- haven't seen the rest.

Upon randomly finding a still of one of the following scenes I decided to investigate a little bit on its origins. I have not deeper knowledge of the story, but I am pretty sure it has to do with some prophecy or other.

It all starts quite agreeably with an all-female bathing scene – sadly the main elf girl Amberle (Poppy Drayton) plays hard-to-get. Later on, she and her posse get captured, which leads to a hit-or-miss suspension scene. Close-up it looks utterly convincing, as she is actually hanging. But for the totals no attempts had been made to hide her holding to an overhead bar. Compensation, though, can be found in the final part. Amberle ends up on a sinister chair to have her fingernails removed. Nothing explicit, but both the built-up and the mechanical contraptions are titillating.

Of this show I had actually watched the pilot donkey’s years ago (because: Elf-esque girl with blades), and never bothered with it again (because: lame). It was therefore pure chance that I stumbled upon the scene below. Story? Probably about some prophecy, one might think.

Talon (Jessica Green), who is the show’s main heroine, is beaten and burnt by a bunch of very bad beings, the burning only be seen via a vision. So thanks for the blurs and rapid cuts.
