Most do put up a good fight when being brought to the gallows. She is noosed and readied to serve her sentence. She gasps taking in her last breaths.
The press covering her execution tries to excite their viewers, excitedly declaring she is breathing her last. They do not mention or care she is about to strangle to death hanging by her neck.
The lever is pulled and the convict screams as she falls.
The noose suddenly breaks her fall. The condemned woman dances wildly as she tries to escape the noose tightening around her throat.
Her agonizing hanging lasts almost five minutes. The registered nurse calmly declares "Justice has been served. The criminal is dead!"
A hearty applause rises. There is no sympathy for how she suffered...

You should realise by now that Barb is attracted to any region where she is likely to be stripped and whipped as if drawn by a magnet.
The tour company brochure promised romantic and luxurious moonlight excursions, attended to hand and foot by native porters and servants.
They lied!!!!!
