These two women ... accused of adultery, witchcraft...repudiation of the cross and dozens of other charges; wait to be Burned at the Stake...
Feeling the arrival of the Executioner...feeling fear of Extreme Pain...but...Desiring the Flames only to take the cold away from their bodies.

They burn me as witch, placing my books around me, saying they are filled with heresies but all were printed at the only press in town- the church's! They have stuffed a cross in the ropes binding me here as they prepare to burn me. Is that not heresy?!?!?!

Truly fine artwork.
