What hurts more, actually, doubling it over in a big loop and flogging with the looped end, or flogging with a single cable? Anyone know?

It depends. ;-) I have seen and given intense whippings both ways. Where on the body, length of the cable, and many other factors play a part.

So your best option is to try both and see. And to report back to us the results. ;-)
 
I would give her 100 lashes on her bare back by electric cord/plastic tube with sands inside. After every full force 20 lashes, stop few minutes then keep on. Every time she passed out, absolutely has a Dr. check her status.. Revive her or wait till she awake then keep on to 100, no matter how many times she passed out.

Another martial law for this female soldier of 33 years old, ... Her sentence is 40 lashes with Cat o'nine tails, the fearsome whip used for Britain Navy in the XVIII century.

She has received the lash number 13, her back already has severe wounds and she's bleeding quite a lot. She surely will not complete all the 40 lashes...

Arching her back for the pain she felt... in the impact of the Cat o'nine tails that tearing her skin off. And her scream of pain? She has pain of hell... infernal pain!

The Cat o' Nine Tails is unforgiving. It is a terrible instrument of torture and a punishment with this whip causes bad wounds and inexplicable pain... out of the ordinary.
Her back is torn by the lashes with only 19 strokes.
Her wounds, some of them, will have to be stitched up, and she will forever have terrible scars on her back that will forever remind her of this very harsh punishment caused by her serious insubordination.

Those don't look like a cat-o-nine tails whip marks. They look like a single bullwhip left them.

If you are speaking of an electric cable, specifically a line cord used on lamps, etc., then it doesn't make too much difference. However, if you make a whip out of it, and the wire usually had two insulated lines, you can inflict serious damage by splitting the line at the end two or three inches, and using a pair of wire strippers to take off about an inch of insulation off of each wire. Line cords typically have wire made up of several strands. You can untwist them, and they can do serious pain. The singe wire striking at the tip can be delivered with greater velocity, and the victim will notice the result. Better have a first aid kit handy and use a "Safe Word".

Cat o' nine tails! Only, the lashes were given to her in one direction only, that is, the military executioner gave her the lashes with the whip positioned on the right.

Do you think she will be able to complete the total number of 40 lashes? Since this is her condition after 19 lashes.
 
As I'm mainly for butt whipping (smacking with leather belt) the procedure is easy:
1)get naked
2)bent over the table
3)spread your legs
4)relax your buttocks. Otherwise ginger root will go into your ass (figging)
5) whack the hell out of her with a leather belt
