A few pictures of judicial (and semi-judicial) historical punishments I found online, mostly French.

Starting with Jacobin women during the French revolution stripping prominent female political opponents naked and whipping them -- the most prominent victim being Theroigne de Mericourt, who went mad a result and refused to ever wear clothes again. That's her in the first image:



Some whipped and humiliated prostitutes and adulterers:
