"Helpless... trapped... stretched to the edge of human endurance. This is what is feels like when the nails go in? I have killed people this way before, they screamed and cried and thrashed, and I didn't think anything of it. People cried out when they stubbed their toe. But now naked to the beating sun, my only coat a coat of blood, with three burning spikes impaling me to a wooden cross, I understand pain. I can't take my mind off of it. I can only embrace the pain and wait for the release of death.

(Writing is not my strong suit, but I felt compelled to add something. Breathtaking work, SJ, you've really outdone yourself.)"

Thank you, mp5stab!
Again,an excellent image SJ!

These very sensual non-crux images remind me so much of the kind of women SJ features in his art.

In these images I imagine them the day before they fall into the terrible trouble that gets them crucified...

nice post Roxie....;)

both very fine, #1 is a brilliant composition,
unusual point of view,
the diagonal lines seem to echo the force of the lash,
the huge powerful body of the soldier
emphasises the powerlessness of the victim,
the stark monochrome emphasises the helplessness of her living flesh
against wood, iron, stone - and whip-leather!

(I realise now you've posted a colour version,
this one is all the more powerful)

Hi Skating! I just got back here to the Crux forums after being away for a few years. I'm the gal who completely flipped over your work at Deviant Art a few days ago. I'm not surprised to find you here as well.

You portray the crucifixion fantasy so beautifully, and so powerfully. I hope you will keep entertaining us for a long time.
