So I... frisked her (I never thought L'ilSiss would be a screamer byt she wailed like a...).

"What now, Tree?"

I held out a set of irons. L'ilSiss looked at them and scowled at me. "So you are in with them."

"I'm doing you a favor. Sheriff Admi is whipping up a posse and promising them all pussy... once they catch you. And I ain't talking a round at the brothel; Admi's too cheap for that. Siss wasn't happy with me but she turned around and offered her wrists behind her back. "Just the leg irons for now, Siss."

She looked down and saw "THT" engraved on them. "So no one steals them?"

"No, so no one messes with my prisoner" I said as went to get Yupar...

When I went to get Yupar she was waiting in the bedroom. By the looks of things she was taking care of... herself.

"I heard what you're hear for."

"Is that all?'

"I'll go peacefully, but you are going to frisk me, aren't you?!?!?!?"

When I finished her cavity searches I told her to wipe her mouth, turn around and put her hands behind her back...

Two out of four in chains and I had to find Messa and Connie. I doubted they would be as willing to give up Yupar and L’ilSiss. I headed down to the swimming hole at the stream and pulled the old Western movie trick of sending my horse off one way while I snuck through the woods the other.

I lucked out and stumbled across Messa first. She had just seen my horse and was heading over to get her pistols when I stepped out of the brush with my rifle pointed at her. I said “I don’t want to hurt you, Messa. I just want to take you in.”

“And what if I don’t want you to take me in?” She replied staring at me defenseless but defiant.

“Then I’ll take Yupar and L’ilSiss in and leave you and Connie to deal with Sheriff Admi and his posse.”

“Connie can make her own mind up if she wants to go or stay and fight.”

“I’m sure she could, but I ain’t going to risk you putting a bullet in my back while I ask her.”

“Then tie me to a tree, Tree, and go ask her.”

“Can’t do that, Messa. If Admi’s men happen upon you he and they would fuck you every way until Sunday.”

“And that won’t happen when I’m in that blue nosed bastard’s jail anyway?’

“I can’t promise you anything there. It’s not my business. You put these irons on and I can promise you won’t be molested before you in jail.”

Messa locked the irons around her ankles then looked at me and asked “Do you want my wrists behind my back?”

“It’s up to you Messa.”

She locked them behind her back and stared at me with sly smile. “You look different, Tree. Have you been working out?”

“Been drinkin’ some stuff to put some weight on” I acknowledged.

“Cutting back on the coffee in your whiskey? Hey, tree you are going to frisk me, aren’t you?”

“Only if you want me to” I replied.

“Not really, but Yupar says you’re not bad…”

“So where is Connie?” I asked.

“Find her yourself, Tree!” Messa snarled back as she wiped off the inside of her thighs. I pointed the rifle at the ground between her feet and pulled the trigger. Messa jumped and shrieked as dirt sprayed her feet and ankles.

“I’ll let her find me.”

“Tree, don’t you hurt her!”

“I ain’t going to” I said when I heard a rustling coming closer through the brush. I spun around and pointed the Winchester at the opening…

…Just as Connie ran into the clearing. She first saw Messa in irons and cried “Meesa, are you alright? What’s going on?”

“She’s fine” I said. “I’ve come to take you in.”

“Tree, what are you doing here?”

She made an attempt to cover herself and said “Damn it Tree, I’m naked.”

“I hadn’t noticed” I answered dryly. “Sheriff Admi has a warrant out for you four and like I said I’ve come to take you in.”

“I’m not surrendering to go to Admi! That bastard is an animal. You might as well shoot me now.”

“Ain’t gonna happen, Connie. Either you give up or be hunted down by Admi and his posse.”

“That’s a grand choice.”

“Look at it this way, Connie; the four of you might wear out his jailers, but if he and his posse find you alone you’re on your own to make about 20 men happy. You’ll be lucky if you’ll be able to walk to your execution… assuming you’re convicted, of course.”

“…assuming… Tree have you been working out? You look different.”

It was early afternoon, when Tree opened his eyes. He was on the side of the road. His horse a few feet away.

His time with the guys had taken it's toll. One to many Redeyes !

What a sweet dream, he had, but it was just a dream!

Connie, Messa, Yupar and Siss were still waiting for him and this time ... It won't be as easy as he thought!
 
...ah, the old dream sequence trick. But be warned the evil Judge/Sheriff Admi is putting together a posse and offering plenty ofuse of your fair bodies be for you are convicted... I mean tried...

Messa, since L'ilSiss wiped out five posts of mine with the 'dream' thing I am thinking of throwing in with Admi, Rev. Lynch, and their thugs. In fact the Union Pacific Railroad just delivered the book I ordered from the central branch of the St. Louis, Missouri, Public Library. It's called "100 ways to get a woman to confess to anything without killing them before you condemn them to death."

It should be a good read...
