In my opinion, it’s somehow strange to remind about the death of a fictional character, when hundreds and thousands of very real people die every day in the world. Although... this is one of the paradoxes of the modern world. The death of a fictional character often evokes much more emotion than the death of real people.
And one more thing... I am truly perplexed, how long will this cult of superheroes continue in the world? This is some kind of endless conveyor, and it still doesn’t stop.
Marvel has decades of stories to pick from so I think the cult will stay for a long time. Plus the MCU as we know it wouldn't exist without iron man so for superhero fans killing the one who started it all brings a year to they're eyes

How do you feel about comics and their film adaptations?

The films have been great except as of late when they wanted to rush them out, the comics are hit or miss as while they have great artwork the writing could use work. The latest flop I remember is when they had two one was called snowflake and the other was safe space
Overall, do you prefer Marvel or DC?

I prefer marvel. I'm a big captain America and spiderman fan,
I don't like comics in general. I don’t read comics directly, I just don’t have time for that. As for film adaptations... it's hard to even say, but probably the only characters that interest me are Batman and Blade. But at the same time, I still haven’t seen the new Batman film. I don’t expect anything good from the Blade remake, especially since it seems to have ended up in “production hell.”
At one time, they said a lot that the film adaptation of Deadpool would show something really new, but in my opinion, nothing outstanding was shown there. Blood - just think, how unprecedented. Black humor - well, in my opinion, not particularly outstanding. I expected more.

Currently, there is a heavy storm raging in the North Sea. Its name is Babet (a diminutive of @Barbaria1 ?). Although it seems to be rather threatening Scotland's east coast, I hope @Eulalia and all who live there will stay safe. The same for the people here from Denmark, Sweden and Northern Germany, which also seem to be in harm's way.
Eulalia has Celtic warrior blood so she'll survive

Aye, I'm fine, down in the south-west, the storm is hitting the north-east - the east coast, east-facing hillsides, and the lowlands in-between - storm-force winds along the coast, and record-shattering quantities of rain on the hills, threaten flooding, especially in the region between Dundee and Aberdeen. We've just had some bouts of strong wind, bursts of heavy rain, but were only under a yellow warning, and even that's been lifted, much of the north-east is orange, the most at-risk region is red, and that risk level isn't often used. Friends over that side of Scotland are checking in as okay so far, but with some dramatic pictures already. One death reported, a woman aged 57 swept into a river.

Today I experienced that Murphy's Law still works. I had prepared a scrambled egg for dinner, the phone rang, I turned around, hit the plate and the egg landed on the floor, the plate on top. Next to the plate I had two slices of bread with butter lying there, the falling plate gave them a knock and now guess which side the slices landed on the floor.
So now I'm going to continue watching the Formula 1 race.

1) the plate was a true Murphy. I assume you had put it with the panhandle pointing at you. That is a typical Murphyian recepee for disaster. Keep the panhandle inside the periphery of the furnace, otherwise there is a risk to make the plate fall. To paraphrase Murphy : "If there is more than one way to fix something, and one of these ways can lead to disaster, then sooner or later that disaster will happen!"
2) for the slices of bread, blame Sir Isaac Newton. This is a matter of center of gravity, inertia, rotation, acceleration,...., all physical processes the buttered slice of bread is subjected to. A standard kitchen desk or table is too low for allowing a falling buttered slice of bread to rotate 360 degrees. It has just rotated almost 180 degrees when it hits the ground. Yet, a 3 meter high kitchen desk and furnace would be very impractical.

I hope you're doing well @ Eulalia and the flooding from all the rain didn't cause too much damage.

They never should have moved away from being sexy in the first place!
I mean, what sort of moronic retard ever thought that decrying sexiness while trying to sell lingerie was ever going to be a viable business model?

Seriously these companies need to fire all the idiot activists and go back to being a for-profit enterprise.

Just because a handful of penniless, terminally-online rabble-rousers (who are never going to be your paying customers in the first place) make a lot of noise on twitter does NOT mean that their insane sensibilities are shared by the vast majority of your actual customer base, and eventually all these virtue-signalling companies will have to stop pandering to hate-fuelled dropouts on social media and return to giving their real customers what they actually want if they intend to survive in today's much tougher marketplace.

Common sense really...
