Top-Cat,
Why do you abhor vinyl?
I still have vinyl, still have cassettes, still have CDs. I have hundreds of cassettes that I recorded on TDK and Maxell tapes that still sound fantastic 25-28 years later. :) Here is my tape deck:

What is your favorite way to listen to your music?

HondoBoot2

Good to hear music is uninterrupted, or having to interrupt your "musical journey" to flip the disc or tape.

Try to listen to Wagner, turning 20 disc in 20 minutes.

Or any other Classic or Opera, switching the disc, turning the disc or giving rope on the gramophone.

Impossible!

I just picked up some of the new Remastered Led Zeppelin CD's and vinyl. They really sound good, but I don't really hear much of a differance from the previous CD's that were released in 1995. Has anyone else heard these new Remasters? The vinyls sound very good.
I am usually sceptical about all these Remasters, but thought I would try these.

I have not heard, but if it's Led Zeppelin, it's good!

Pp has some remastered Led Zep and The Who but only electronic and that never compares with vinyl.

Actually I have a question. My collection of bondage and torture and crux pics is growing like mad (any other help would be great by the way) but what I would like to do is make a slide show for all of it once I feel that my collection is complete (anyone have anything by Quoom?)

What I really want to know is, what would be the perfect song or songs for it? I would really like it if it is something sad yet erotic sounding, like orchestral music that has an electric guitar in the entire thing. A song or songs that are not to fast and not too slow. it/they have to be long too since I will have many pics by then.

Youtube is an excellent source.

Plenty of scary music from

Venus in furs by Velvet Underground

Diablo 2 Soundtrack

Diablo 3 Soundtrack And The Heavens Shall Tremble

World Of Warcraft Wrath Of The Lich King

Black Wings by Tom Waits

There's lots more.

Pp does like Tom Waits though tends to forget him amongst the hundreds of artists he has either on vinyl or in electronic form.

Indeed, it is easy to forget some artists if you have hundreds, happens to me all the time. I will look through my collection, only to find some forgotten favorites:doh:

Glad to hear it from you.

I was thinking, that these omissions, old age was the symptom.

One of the great things with vinyl is all different styles of records. You can have plain black vinyl, or you can get colored vinyl in all sorts of colors. I think I have just about all the colors of the rainbow when it comes to colored vinyl. The one very different record I have, is a glow in the dark Siousie and the Banshees record. I have tried to take a picture of it glowing in the dark, but the flash of the camera ruins the effect. It is an eerie record, and even more eerie playing it in the dark with it throwing off the eerie green glow while it is playing.
